I work with wood as a natural material, which means each piece includes its own grain patterns, color shifts, and occasional knots. These features are part of the material itself, and I try to use them rather than discard them. This approach reduces waste and lets more of each board become part of the finished work.

My pieces highlight the natural character of the wood, so these features may appear in the item you receive. If you prefer a more uniform look with fewer visible knots or variations, you can email me or leave a note in your order. I’ll do my best to match your preference based on what I have available.

I try to use sustainably harvested lumber from local sources in Oregon and Washington whenever possible.
